Unlock 8 Guidelines: Cinema Halls, Theatres Allowed To Open In Odisha


With Unlock 8 guidelines for the coming month, the Odisha Government-issued new guidelines where the cinema halls and theatres will be opened with 50 percent capacity and will be operated as per SOP issued by the Government of India/State Government.

The other regulation of some activities in areas outside the containment Zone is the Conduct of examinations that is of academic, competitive, and entrance tests, evaluation, and other organizational activities. Online/ distance learning shall continue to be permitted and shall be encouraged.

The educational institutions’ re-opening will be considered by the Department of School & Mass Education, Higher Education, Skill Development, and Technical Education. And the higher Education Institutions will be permitted to open only for research scholars (Ph.D.) and post-graduate students in the science and technology stream requiring laboratory/ experimental work.

The International air travel will continue to remain suspended till January 31 but except as permitted by the MHA.

Social/religious/sports & other gatherings shall be allowed with a ceiling of 200 persons.

All Anganwadi Centres shall remain closed till January 31, 2021.

Open Air Theatres/ Jatras/ Entertainment Parks shall be permitted by the local authorities (District Magistrate/ Municipal Commissioner or officers authorized by them) to open subject to compliance of safety protocols such as the mandatory wearing of face masks, physical distancing, etc.

Swimming Pools owned and controlled by Government or by the Department of Sports & Youth Services, Government of Odisha are permitted to open for training of sportspersons as per SOP issued by the Ministry of Youth Affairs& Sports.
