The Border Security Force (BSF)’s “Rakshak: The Shield of the Borders” magazine is engrossing and intelligent, and it demonstrates a strong dedication to protecting India’s borders. This renowned book serves as an authoritative source of information, showcasing the heroic sacrifices made by BSF members to uphold the security and integrity of the country.

 

Rakshak stands as a sincere monument to the dedication of the BSF and the crucial part they play in safeguarding the safety and sovereignty of the nation’s boundaries through its well-researched articles, poetry, thinking, and content. The journal “Frontier” presents a symphony of words via its pages, where articles, stories, and poetry written by these devoted guardians are given their proper position. It gives these unsung heroes a special platform to convey their literary expressions, allowing their voices to reach outside the boundaries of their uniform.

Prof. Ganeshi Lal, Hon’ble Governor of Odisha unveiled the maiden issue of Frontier magazine ‘Rakshak’ in presence of Sh D K Sharma, IG FTR HQ (Spl Ops) BSF Odisha and other officers at Raj Bhawan. The magazine would showcase a vivid picture of the Frontier.

Since its deployment in LWE affected areas for more than a decade now, the presence of BSF and its expansion by establishment of new COBs in core area have changed the entire dynamics in favour of the state and its law abiding citizens.
The magazine will feature articles, anecdotes, poems written by the Seema Praharis, which will give them a platform to bring their literary work to the fore. The magazine also features various operational as well as developmental works along with various special drives being conducted to enrich the lives of local people in areas under ambit of the Frontier.
