Odisha’s Karthik Panigrahi, who has secured an all-India rank of 63 in the prestigious Civil Services Examination, 2021 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), has expressed his desire to work for combating climate change.
According to the reports, he said “I want to serve the country and society. My focus will be on tackling climate change as it is the most challenging factor which the world is currently facing. I am also interested to work for the improvement of information technology, digital education and digital health. These are new challenges and new opportunities and I want to work in these fields. I was hopeful of a good result, but had not expected such a higher rank.”
Meanwhile, Soumya Ranjan Pradhan from Palalahada in Angul district has secured a rank of 306. He is the son of Sanjeev Kumar Pradhan and Kalpana Pradhan, cracked had Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) in 2019. At present, he is under probation in Sundargarh.
A total number of 685 candidates have been recommended for appointment for Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.
