Today, the development of Bahanaga in the Balasore district would receive Rs 2 Crore, according to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Vaishnaw made the statement today during his visit to Bahanga. The development of Bahanaga hamlet and the hospital there would receive Rs 1 crore from the minister’s MPLAD fund and another Rs 1 crore from Railways funding, the minister declared. Vaishnav praised the residents of Bahanga during his visit.
The Bahanaga residents’ cooperation and assistance during the train disaster, according to the minister of railways, was much appreciated. He also expressed his gratitude to the medical staff, physicians, and students who helped the injured patients who came to the hospital for treatment by providing services like blood donation. He said that the Bahanaga people’s debt could never be repaid.

The residents of Bahanaga and the surrounding villages were among the first responders. 292 people died and more than 1,100 people were wounded in the catastrophe.
