His cutting-edge initiatives in driving safety, sustainability, automation and reducing carbon emissions have been remarkable and widely recognized by reputed national as well as international bodies including CII, FICCI, Ministry of Labour & Employment and World Quality Council.
JK Paper Mills has led the way in fostering sustainability and empowerment with a strong focus on research & and development and a full-fledged Farm Forestry Program in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. The initiative began in Odisha in 1990 and , was initially intended to reduce reliance on forest-based raw materials while increasing farmer income through planting on underutilized land. This effort has received widespread support from the agricultural community, resulting in a multifold expansion that will result in a total plantation of 1,56,904 Hectares by October 2022. There has been a shift from seed-based plantation to high-yielding site-specificyielding site specific clones generated in JK Paper Mills’ state-of-the-art clonal facility in Rayagada.Since its beginning, this groundbreaking effort has sent 524.9 million seedlings and 182.9 million clones to 96,000 farmers
