Dhenkanal town wore a deserted look following the shutdown imposed by the state government keeping in view of the rising covid-19 cases in the state.
After witnessing a steep spike in daily cases, the state government has clamped weekend shutdown in every urban area of the state to curb the rising cases.
On the other hand, the district administration of Dhenkanal has put no stone unturned in awaring its citizens.
The people were informed about the guidelines with the help of loud speakers and everyone was asked to stay indoors unless necessary. Anyone violating the guidelines will be panelised according to the law. Except emergency service other all other establishments are closed.
The district reported 34 fresh Covid-19 cases during the last 24 hours. Meanwhile four people have recovered during this period.
The total caseload of the district stands at 5984 while 5747 people have recovered so far.
As many as 29 people of the district have succumbed to the deadly virus till now.
