Nuapada Dec 19: During the visit to Nuapada District today, Asit Tripathy, Chairman WODC cum
Principal Advisor to Hon’ble Chief Minister reviewed the District Officials in Nuapada
Collectorate Conference Hall, especially on the promotion of entrepreneurs in Agriculture,
Horticulture, Pisiculture, Animal Husbandry, MSME sectors & the involvement of ORMAS &
Mission Shakti in capacity building for diversification from the traditional patterns for bank
financing to take the benefit under MKUY & IPR as per recent MIO.
Hon’ble Minister, Planning & Convergence Department Sri Rajendra Dholkia, Collector,
Nuapada, Sri Hema Kanta Say & CEO and TC, WODC Sri Ajit Kumar Mishra were present
during the review. Interacting with the District Offices, Sri Tripathy, Chairman, WODC called
upon the District Officials for preparation of their own District Plan for overall economic
development of the District. He advised the line department officials not to work in solo and they
should work in a convergence mode with team spirit to achieve radical economic transformation
in the District in a cluster based approach. Taking into consideration of the available district
resources, they should take advantage of Biju Express Corridor for the incentives for the MSME
units. He impressed the District Administration to involve the PRI members & FPOs for
identification of the potential entrepreneurs.
After the review meeting Sri Tripathy, Chairman WODC interacted with the President,
Zilla Parishad & other members & sensitized them to motivate the progressive farmers for crop
diversification as in Nuapada District agro processing units have a lot of potentially citing the
example of Millet Processing Unit at village Ichhapur of Komna District funded by WODC. He
also advised them to take advantage of the recent packages of IPR as announced by Hon’ble CM
in the recent MIO.
