Bhubaneswar, 30th August 2024: The School of Human Settlements, in collaboration with Career Advisory Services at XIM University, Odisha, successfully organized *Vyuham 2.0* on 30th August 2024. The event, themed “Urban Futures: Innovation, Inclusion, and Sustainability,” provided a platform for thought leaders, industry experts, and policymakers to discuss the critical need for integrating innovative solutions, inclusive development strategies, and sustainable practices into the future of urban planning.
The event commenced with a warm welcome note delivered by Prof. Kajri Misra, Dean of the School of Human Settlements, XIM University, who emphasized the significance of addressing urban challenges in an era of rapid urbanization. Prof. Savita Mohanty, Associate Dean of Career Advisory Services, followed with an introductory address, highlighting the pivotal role that such collaborative events play in shaping the future of our cities.
Vyuham 2.0 was a reflection of the dynamic evolution of cities worldwide, underscoring the urgency to adapt to growing urban populations by incorporating cutting-edge technology, equitable growth strategies, and environmentally conscious policies. Saugata Maitra, Senior Specialist, Real Estate and Infrastructure, KPMG India, provided insights into the latest trends and challenges in real estate and infrastructure development, emphasizing the need for sustainable urban growth.
Amrita Ganguly, Executive Director, Deloitte India, discussed the importance of inclusive growth in urban planning, advocating for strategies that ensure equitable development across all sections of society.
Amit Gupta, Founder of The Reppro, shared his experiences in innovative urban solutions, focusing on the integration of technology in urban infrastructure to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
Tusar Pattnaik, National Head of EPR at Hindustan Coca-Cola, highlighted the role of environmental responsibility in urban development, stressing the need for sustainable waste management practices in urban areas.
