For the next Durga Puja celebrations in Kataka, the Commissionerate Police has created a comprehensive security plan that calls for the installation of over 1,300 CCTV cameras throughout the city and the deployment of 60 police platoons to uphold law and order. During the celebrations, two companies of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and about 500 police officers would be used to control traffic, manage crowds, and stop antisocial behavior.
Additionally, 57 aid posts spread throughout the city will be part of the security preparations. Police officers stationed at several locations have been told to act quickly if there is any disruption. At a police briefing on Friday at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, the deployment strategy and staff duties were described.
