Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena presided over the first empowered committee meeting of the Cuttack Development Authority (CDA), which was held today at the Odisha State Maritime Museum Complex in Cuttack.
G Mathi Vathanan, Principal Secretary, Department of Housing and Urban Development, attended the meeting, as did Hemant Kumar Dutta, Special Secretary Works, Balamukunda Bhuyan, Additional Secretary, Tourism, Dilip Routray, Director, Odia Language, Literature & Culture, Susanta Mohanty, Director Estate, Bhawani Shankar Chayani, Collector and District Magistrate, Cuttack, Anil Kumar Samal, Chairman, CDA,
Anil Samal welcomed the guests and informed the delegates about the Mahanadi Waterfront development project, which was announced by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and is based on five focus points such as culture, technology, ecology, sports, and recreation for the benefit of the people of Cuttack. He stated that a new Master plan has been produced in accordance with the National Green Tribunal’s criteria.
Vice Chairman CDA, Kalyan, submitted the Mahanadi Waterfront Development Plan proposal for the Chief Secretary’s approval. He also spoke about other CDA and CMC development projects and activities, such as city decongestion, the Ratagarh Town Planning Scheme, Core Area Regulations, CDA extra villages, the Biswanath Pandit Library, the CMC Heritage Building, and the Netaji Museum.
