Today, the state government welcomed 504 Junior Engineers (Civil) into their ranks. A total of 398 individuals were appointed under the Panchayati Raj Department, 78 individuals were appointed under the Odisha Municipal Engineering Cadre, and 28 individuals joined the Housing & Urban Development Department’s Public Health Engineering Cadre. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik attended an induction program held at the Lok Seva Bhawan Convention Center.
Addressing the new engineers on the occasion, the Chief Minister told them, “You all are young, confident and full of energy. You are here to serve the people and make their lives change for the better. Develop a passion to give your best.”
He greeted the new engineers and gave them advice on how to see transformation in their work by adhering to the 5T principles: teamwork, transparency, technology, and time. “You will witness Odisha’s total metamorphosis during your lifetime,” he declared. And you’ll be the one to spark that change.
He went on to say that his administration has launched an initiative to significantly raise the standard of living for all citizens and transform every aspect of society. One such game-changing resource that even larger cities like Delhi and Mumbai lack is our 24/7 Drink From Tap. In whatever we do, we aim to set new standards.
