“We’ll be there for India”- Biden after talks with PM Modi

A telephone conversation between US President Joe Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took place on Monday night amid the second wave of the covid’s outbreak. He has spoken to Prime Minister Biden on the situation in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted that the talks were fruitful.

A senior White House official said the Biden administration was providing all possible assistance to India in the second wave of the deadly Covid-19. The talks between US President and Prime Minister Narendra Modi took place at a time when India was running low on oxygen. The two leaders discussed ventilation and oxygen issues.

The United States is supplying India with ventilators, PPE kits, rapid diagnostic test kits and more. The other day, India’s national security adviser, Ajit Doval, spoke to US opponents over the phone. The United States has said it will provide emergency medical equipment, including raw materials for vaccines.

“When our hospital was filled with patients at the beginning of the epidemic, just as India helped the United States during the epidemic, we are committed to India’s support in times of crisis,” US President Joe Biden said in a tweet.
