The state government has approved the increase in the number of beds in Jharsuguda Hospital in view of the rising covid 19 cases

In Jharsuguda district, the administration is concerned about the growing number of patients, while the number of rising cases of covid 19 has not stopped. In Jharsuguda district, Covid Hospital, which was started during the first phase of corona, had 200 beds and only five ventilators.

The district magistrate also drew the attention to the state government after Brajrajnagar MLA Kishore Mohanty and Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari demanded the government to set up another hospital in the district. In view of the increase in the number of patients in the district, the state government has increased the number of ventilators at Jharsuguda District Covid Hospital to 20 and the number of beds at Bandhabahal Covid Hospital run by MCL from 20 to 100 beds.

In addition, 20 ICUs will be set up at Bandhavahal Covid Hospital and the state’s leading hospital will be tasked with providing patient care, health minister said.
