CM Patnaik Ensures Fire Safety & Oxygen Logistics In Hospitals As Top Priority

While reviewing the current situation of Covid-19 in the state, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik urged the official to prioritize the fire safety and medical oxygen facilities in hospitals.

According to the reports, CM Patnaik asked all the officials to make the fire safety facilities the priority besides scaling up testing track in areas that have been reporting a higher number of Coronavirus cases.

While reviewing the situation CM Patnaik stated that to slow down the infection rate the Odisha Government have imposed the lockdown for two weeks and so far the lockdown enforcement has been going on well, however, there is still scope for improvement in some places. Fire safety and medical Oxygen logistics should be a top priority for district teams.

Odisha CM also directed officials to continue testing, tracing and containment in full swing with a special focus on vulnerable areas. He also advised the authority to focus on some other areas as the first emphasises.

CM Patnaik also mentioned that to take direct feedback from doctors who are manning the ICUs and HDUs and act on their suggestions. While the vaccination program will be a top priority and fool-proof arrangements should be made. To take care of the elderly, women and other vulnerable sections in the vaccination drive.

He further added that to keep a close watch on private hospitals treating covid patients. They must charge within the ceiling fixed by the government and in case of any lapses, strict action should be taken against the hospital management.

Even the helplines in Covid hospitals should be strengthened and families must be informed of the patient status regularly. And to use the CMRF which will help people in distress during this difficult time.

At last CM Patnaik asked that officials ensure quality healthcare to the people. He further stated that the state government is one of the few governments that is providing testing to treatment, accommodation, food and medicines free of cost to the people. The government is trying to help the people who are cutting across the economic strata especially the poor who can avail themselves the treatment free of cost and in the best facilities.
