School shooting in Russia leaves more than 9 dead, including children and teachers

An unfortunate incident has been reported in the Russian city of Kazan. One or more gunmen opened fire on the school, killing at least 11 people and injuring several others, including students and teachers. The local media agency RI News Agency informed the Ministry of Emergency Situations on Tuesday.

In addition, two children jumped from the third floor of the school building by hearing gunshots. A video of gunmen firing at random appears to have been released by the RI.

Some Russian news agencies reported that the two teenage gunmen were involved in the shooting, while another news agency said one shooter was involved.

An 18-year-old gunman has been detained, the RI said. Footage posted on social media showed a young man being abducted by police officers outside the school building.
