State government has set up task force for oxygen

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday reviewed the corona situation after a two-week extension of the lockdown period in the state to increase the incidence of corona infections and its chains. At the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for patient care. In addition, a task force has been set up for oxygen.

At today’s review meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized on vaccination. The chief minister called for improvements to the help desk. “In general, the situation in the state is under control,” he said. He credits the public awareness and lockdown for this. On the other hand, he has instructed authorities to provide immediate assistance to the family of the infected.

The state government, on the other hand, has set up a six-member task force to oversee oxygen. The chief adviser to the chief minister has been made chairman of the task force. The task force will oversee the production and distribution of medical oxygen. The state government has said it will carry out long-term plans on oxygen.

Another decision will be to test 70,000 people daily in the state. The number of Tests will be increased to 90,000 next week. Despite the increase in the number of tests, the government has said that the decline in positives in the state is a good sign. The death toll in the state has dropped from 0.40 to 0.34. The state government will soon set up 36 more ICUs, the state government said.

The state government has extended the lockdown period by two weeks in view of the rising number of corona infections. The lockdown, which ends at 7 a.m. on May 19, has been extended to 5 a.m. on June 1. The weekend shutdown will continue with Lockdown. This time around, the lockdown has been tightened. At present, 25 people will be present in marriage and 20 people in funeral. Liquor shops are allowed to open during lockdowns. All shops will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
