Biden to hold talks with Putin in June

U.S. President Joe Biden will meet with the Russian president next June. Biden is also scheduled to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the White House.

The U.S. and Russia have been embroiled in controversy since the beginning of the Biden administration. Both leaders have been at loggerheads over the Israeli-Hamas war, starting with the Ukraine conflict.

Biden and Putin will hold summit talks in Geneva. The White House said Tuesday that the two leaders will meet on June 16. “Both leaders will discuss a number of important issues,” White House spokesman Jane Saki said in a statement. He further added that the United States wants to restore stability in relations with Russia.
