The most powerful helicopter, the “Romeo”, will join the Indian Navy soon. According to reports, the United States will deliver the first installment of the MH-60 Romeo helicopter to the Indian Navy in July. Naval pilots have arrived in the United States for emergency helicopter training.
India and the United States had a deal worth Rs 18,000 crore for the MH-60 Romeo helicopter. The agreement was signed in 2020. According to the news agency ANI, first batch of Indian pilot has arrived in the US for training. India will get atleast 3 helicopters initially in July. The Indian pilots will be trained first in Florida and later in San Diego, California.
As for the specifics of the helicopter, it is best at destroying enemies even in the opposite direction. The helicopter is equipped with a multi-mode radar. Romeo has the ability to fly at night. It will also have hellfire missiles, torpedoes and other deadly weapons. Romeo is expert in sea rescue. Romeo is very good at beating submarines and warships.
