Due to the outburst of the Coronavirus pandemic employees of Indian companies was permitted to work from home or to remote work. Henceforth the work from home model became the new normal in the corporate world.
According to the reports, now that the pandemic situation is getting better or improved many companies including IT firms are reportedly planning to call back their employees to the offices.
The report further added that the Workforce and Increment Trends survey 2021 conducted by Deloitte revealed that only 40 per cent of organisations have finalised their return-to-work strategy. And around 60% of companies surveyed are yet to devise a return policy. But at the same time, 90 per cent of organisations now looking at a hybrid work arrangement, which is a combination of work from home and office.
Meanwhile, the survey also stated that companies do not prefer giving employees the choice on time and duration of work from home. In fact, approval from line managers or setting limits on the number of days, are some of the alternatives preferred by companies.
