In Odisha, eight OAS officials were assigned to various ministers as OSDs or private secretaries. BDA Joint Commissioner Biswaranjan Rath was transferred and assigned as a private secretary to Deputy Chief Minister and Women & Child Development Minister Pravati Parida, according to a notification released by the General Administration Department. Former Agriculture Department Additional Secretary Pradeep Kumar Sahoo has been appointed as Minister of Revenue & Disaster Management Suresh Pujari’s private secretary.
Sub-collector Mahendra Panda of Bhubaneswar was named private secretary to Ministers of Steel & Mines, Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, and Commerce & Transport. The notification also stated that Trinath Majhi, the additional district magistrate from Rayagada, has been transferred as the private secretary to School & Mass Education and ST&SC Development Minister Nityananda Gond, and that Sambit Kumar Garnayak, the additional district magistrate from Bhadrak, has been posted as the private secretary to Law, Works, and Excise Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan.
The position of Additional Executive Officer at Zilla Parishad in Ganjam, Pratap Chandra Pradhan, was transferred to the office of Minister of State for Fisheries & ARD, MS & ME Gokulananda Mallik as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD). In the office of Women & Child Development Minister Pravati Parida and Deputy Chief Minister Manoj Kumar Behera, a BDA Land Officer, would hold the position of OSD. OSDMA’s general manager In the office of Higher Education and Sports & Youth Services Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, Sampad Kumar Dalai has been moved to the position of OSD.
