Nikunja Bihari Dhal, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Odisha, announced on Sunday that 95 companies of the CPF will be stationed throughout the state to maintain peace and order and tally electronic ballots on June 4.
185 CPF companies, a record amount, were sent to Odisha for the state’s four-phase Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. Following the elections, 25 CPF companies were kept on hand to be stationed at the EVM counting center and strongroom. According to Dhal, the state has now kept an extra seventy CPF companies to uphold law and order following the elections.
