On Monday, a delegation from the Mahanadi Water Disputes Tribunal went to Jharsuguda and Sundargarh to see the Ib Thermal Power Station and Dam projects. On the third day of their trip, they went to Sundargarh to the projected Ib dam project site and the OPGC Ib Thermal Power House.
Day 1-The Hirakud Dam, the power canal, the Burla power plant, and the Parbati Giri Mega-Lift Irrigation Project at Rampila have all been visited by the crew.
Day 2-The tribunal made stops at the Chiplima power plant, the Bargarh postal canal, the Attabira branch canal, the planned extra spillway, the head regulator of the Sambalpur distributary, and the head regulator of the Sason main canal on the second day.
Day 3- Ib Thermal Power Station and Dam projects in Jharsuguda and Sundargarh
Day 4- Visit to Upper Jonk Irrigation Project and Saipala Dam in Nuapada
Day 5- Visit to CWC gauge site on the Mahanadi River at Tikarpada and Satkosia Gorge sanctuary
Day 6- Rest at Bhubaneswar
Day 7 –Visit to the Maritime Museum in Cuttack, the Mahanadi Delta, and its barrages. The Mundali & Puri Main Canal, Sapua River Confluence, Naraj Barrage, Mahanadi Barrage, and Birupa Barrage will all be visited by the tribunal.
Day 8- The tribunal will visit Chilika Lake at Satpada and its mouth at sea on the 8th day of their visit.
Day 9-They will go to the deltaic river system, which includes the confluence of the Daya and Bhargavi rivers at Ramchandi near Konark and the place where the Daya and Bhargavi rivers split.
