Odisha CM Felicitates 19 Districts For Receiving ‘Bhoomi Samman’

19 districts in Odisha received awards from the chief minister today for their outstanding work in computerizing land records. These districts were given the Bhoomi Samman award by the Indian President in July for completing the Digital India Land Records Modernization program successfully and on time. As the finest state in India for its excellent contribution to the digitization of land records, Odisha has received the prestigious “Bhoomi Samman” award.

Angul, Boudh, Bargarh, Bhadrak, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Khordha, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Rayagada, and Sambalpur are among these districts. The Lok Seva Bhawan Convention Center hosted a gathering for the program of congratulations. The Collectors of these Districts received a Trophy & Citation from the Chief Minister.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister thanked the revenue administration and the districts on earning the honor and expressed delight that 19 of the state’s districts, out of 68 nationwide, had received the prestigious Bhoomi Samman from the President. By the end of this fiscal year, he claimed, all other districts would have completely digitalized their land records.

According to the CM, Odisha has become one of the forerunners in the modernisation of land records as a result of the adoption of the 5T Charter and adherence to the “Mo Sarkar” ideals. He said that visiting a government office is no longer required but rather an option. Through a variety of e-Government applications, people may access different governmental services from any location at any time. A Revenue Taskforce is resolving the long-standing land problems, he stated.
