In order to build a rail overbridge at Rajgangpur in the Sundergarh district, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has opted to directly acquire property from the public rather than purchasing land, according to a statement released on Thursday.
It is important to note that 5T Secretary VK Pandian visited the Sundargarh district on March 11 and 12, where he examined several development initiatives and heard residents’ complaints. Pandian learned about the difficulty in acquiring land for the construction of a rail overbridge at Rajgangpur during his visit.
The state government would immediately acquire the land needed for the ROB and expedite construction, it has been agreed after reviewing the situation with the chief minister. In the Sundargarh district, near Rajgangpur Mauza, between the stations of Sonakhan and Kashanbahal, a rail overbridge will be built.
