5T Secy Visits Puri District, Reviews Various Devpt Works

Secretary to the CM (5T) V K Pandian visited the Puri District on the directive of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to assess the status of different development projects there and to address public issues. An official press release states that Pandian visited Kamaleswar Temple in Krushnaprasad where he spoke with Sebayats, Trustee members, and members of the general public about improving facilities for devotees and developing temples. He also solicited suggestions on various aspects of the temple’s transformation and associated pilgrimage/tourist amenities. He gave the district administration the order to create a development master plan.

Pandian examined the development of the current Rs 1075 crore Mega Piped Water Supply Schemes in the Krushnaprasad, Brahmagiri, Pipili, Delang, Puri, Gop, and Satyabadi Blocks. Phase-by-phase operationalization of the projects will begin around December 2023. The projects are at various phases, and he gave the concerned officials instructions to achieve both timely completion and high-quality work. In Pipili, Pandian spoke with the district government about the Chandua workers’ means of subsistence and gave them the go-ahead to create a development plan.

He spoke with college students in Puri and informed them that the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved the inclusion of the district’s 35 degree-granting colleges and 48 upper secondary schools under the 5T transformation initiative at a cost of Rs 51.75 crores. He inspired the pupils to work hard in class and pursue their goals.
