The stipend for house surgeons at government medical colleges was raised by the Odisha government.
According to a notice published by the Health & Family Welfare Department, “the Government has been pleased for implementation of a dynamic stipend in favour of House Surgeons @ 50% of the current remuneration paid to Assistant Surgeons under OMHS cadre on their entry into Govt. Service + DA as admissible.”
The message further said that the improvement will take effect right away.
The notice also said that the Finance Department had approved the choice.
