On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued directives for Union ministers to follow at the two-day G20 Summit on September 9 and 10. The ministers have been instructed to use the shuttle service rather than their official vehicles to get to Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan and other meeting locations instead. The PM also requested that they download the G20 India mobile app and make the most of its translation and other capabilities when speaking with foreign dignitaries at a meeting of the Union Council of Ministers, officials told PTI.
Instant translation is a feature of the G20 mobile app that supports all G20 languages as well as those spoken in India. The ministers received a comprehensive briefing on the protocol and related topics from Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra. The prime minister requested that the ministers become familiar with the cultures of the various foreign representatives they will be meeting with. On September 9, chief ministers from various states who have been invited to a meal are required to appear at the Parliament House complex by 530 p.m., and then take a shuttle to the event location, Bharat Mandapam.
It has been made clear that only ministers who have been given permission may speak about the G20 summit. The ministers received a comprehensive briefing on the protocol and related topics from Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra. Some of the 40 international leaders anticipated for the summit have begun to show up. Tuesday night, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president of Nigeria, was welcomed at the airport by Union Minister of State for Health SPS Singh Baghel.
