The Commissionerate Police in Bhubaneswar has established a helpline number 7077796111 to report illegal firecracker manufacturing, sale, and storage ahead of the festival of lights, Diwali.
Speaking to reporters today, Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh stated, “We have shared a special helpline number 7077796111 with the public to report any illegal manufacture or storage of firecrackers.”
According to Singh, all police stations’ IICs have been told to stay vigilant and take prompt action upon learning of any unlawful production or storage of firecrackers.
The IICs have been told to check the details, raid the location upon verification, and confiscate any firecrackers that may have been left behind.
