Naveen Patnaik, the chief minister of Odisha, approved Rs 15.20 crore for 507 projects related to religion and community in the Bhubaneswar metropolitan area. The funds will be utilized to build and renovate a number of community and religious projects in the constituencies of Bhubaneswar North, Ekama Bhubaneswar, and Bhubaneswar.
It is important to note that requests for the development and upkeep of their religious institutions, community property, women’s homes, puja mandap, and other facilities were received from a number of temple management committees, local public representatives, and minority communities. Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials conducted a survey while on site. According to the report, the Chief Minister approved funding for these development projects after discussing all of these projects with 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian.
Due to its abundance of more than 700 temples, some of which date back centuries, Smart City Bhubaneswar is known as Temple City. Every day, thousands of travelers and pilgrims pass through these locations. This sum has been approved in consideration of the need to upgrade and beautify all places of worship, including historic buildings. Along with new construction, a number of group properties, clubs, women’s association houses, and puja mandaps will be developed.
