Naveen Patnaik establishes the groundwork for two green fuel projects in Odisha valued at Rs 35,000 crore

Patnaik declared that Odisha is embarking on a new chapter of sustainable industrial development with the start of these two green fuel plants.At the Gopalpur Industrial Park on Wednesday, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid the cornerstones for two green fuel projects valued at Rs 35,000 crore. He also took part in the groundbreaking ceremony for the utility corridor in Ganjam district operated by IDCO, the state enterprise.

With a Rs 27,000 crore investment, Acme Cleantech Solutions is building a 1.10 MMTPA green ammonia factory that will employ roughly 4,000 people. A 0.5 MTPA green hydrogen/ammonia facility would be built at an investment of Rs 8,000 crore by Avaada Green H2 Private Limited, creating jobs for 1,500 people.Patnaik declared that Odisha is embarking on a new chapter of sustainable industrial development with the start of these two green fuel plants. The chief minister underlined how important these projects are to attaining green growth and increasing local jobs and skill levels in the state.

He also said that the youth of Ganjam and the surrounding areas will receive modern skills and upskilling from industrial training institutes (ITIs) in Berhampur, Hinjilicut, Sheragada, Purusottampur, and other neighbouring locations. The CM further mentioned how the presence of these well-known businesses will be extremely beneficial to other professional and high-tech institutions like Parala Maharaj Engineering College, Government Polytechnic, Berhampur, J N Tata Technical Education Centre, Gopalpur, and others.
