BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Capital registered its lowest day temperature at 19.2 Degrees Celsius today . on Tuesday afternoon the city brought down lower temperature which giving relief to the citizens. According to Sambit Swain, a corporate executive mentioned-“The sky was overcast since morning, but the downpour was unexpected. However, the heavy shower was sporadic as several parts of the city did not get any rain,”
The city recorded a maximum temperature of 29.4C. The Indian Metrological Department has forecast thunderstorm, lightning and heavy rainfall between 7 cm and 11 cm at one or two places over Cuttack, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal and Jajpur districts in the next 24 hours.
In Odisha’s several districts till today it has also issued an orange warning for thunderstorm and lightning along with thunderstorm and stormy winds reaching between 50-60 km/hr and talking about the Jajpur city it has received the highest of 60 mm rainfall during the last 24 hours, where as the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 6.2 mm and 7.1 mm.
Temperature forecast: No large change in the Maximum (day) temperature during the next 24 hours and rise by 8°C to 10°C at most places over the districts of Odisha. No large change in the Minimum (night) temperature during next 24 hours and rise by 3°C to 5°C in subsequent four to five days at most places over the districts of Odisha.
