Ujjain: A fire in the Mahakal temple that was “gulal-triggered” harmed 13 priests

‘Gulal’ was being hurled inside the sanctum sanctorum as part of the Holi celebration, according to witnesses. The colourful gulal was thrown upon an earthen lamp by someone. They think the fire might have been started by chemicals in the gulal.

Among those hurt is Sanjay Guru, the head priest of Bhasma Aarti.Nine individuals are reported to be in critical condition.
