Mercury to score up As Temperature Likely To Touch 43-44 Degree Celsius By April 17

Odisha experienced rain showers in serval parts making the coldest day of April on Thursday but the coming days will be tough as the heat wave comes back again.  The India Meteorological Department regional centre predeicdated that the day temperature will increase by 6 to 8 degree Celsius for the next four days with the effect of dry air from the west and north-west direction after April 13. The temperature may touch 43-44 degree Celsius by April 17.

Senior Scientist at IMD Bhubaneswar, Umasankar Das  stated that due to a trough in the middle and upper part of the atmosphere, there has been cloudy weather in Odisha. After April 13, the temperature will start rising and may reach 43-44 degrees by April 17. Higher humidity will remain in the coastal regions. It may be mentioned that cloudy skies, strong winds, and light rain in parts of Odisha kept the mercury in check on Thursday. Under the influence of western disturbance, 10 districts experienced light rainfall activities.
