In order to make more information easily accessible for pilgrims and visitors traveling to Puri to see Rath Yatra, the Puri district administration has established a mobile application called “Rath Yatra 2024.” The closest drinking water facility, health center, free food distribution centers, police aid posts, child desks, helpline, information center, temporary shelters, wheelchair arrangements for PwDs, lifeguard service, control room, etc. can all be easily found by spectators and visitors by downloading this app.
Through the app, users can also find information on the closest parking lots, restaurants, hotels, and places of worship. With the app’s navigation feature, they can go to these locations with ease. On any Android smartphone, users can also download the Rath Yatra 2024 App by scanning a QR code. The app will have all additional information required for the Rath Yatra to Niladri Bije added to it.
The district administration has never attempted anything like this before. According to Puri Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain, users will find this app very useful for obtaining information during the busy Rath Yatra. According to Swain, preparations are underway to create an integrated city app for Puri in the near future.
