Over 12,000 Posts Lying Vacant In Odisha Police

There are 12,324 open positions in the Odisha police department across the state.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi stated in a written response to a question posed by Congress MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati of Jeypore in the Odisha Assembly today that there are currently 70,936 sanctioned posts in the Odisha Police organization for the upkeep of peace and order in the State. Majhi continued, “As of right now, 12,324 of these are vacant.”

According to the Chief Minister, the necessary measures are being made to fill the positions by implementing new hiring and advancement procedures.
