Odisha CM Flags Off National Road Safety Month With ‘Come Home Safe’ Theme

On Saturday, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi launched National Road Safety Month on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Bhubaneswar with the theme “Come Home Safe.” Sources claim that to commemorate the event, an awareness rally was planned from Master Canteen Square to Ram Mandir Square. The demonstration was attended by drivers, artists, students from different schools and institutions, NCC cadets, and members of the transport department.

All participants received a guarantee from the chief minister to abide by traffic safety regulations. In order to raise public awareness of road safety, artists also performed a road safety skit in which they played the parts of Yamaraj and Chandragupta. BMC Mayor Sulochana Das, Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, MLAs, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Director General of Police (DGP) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, and other officials were present at the ceremony.
