Freedom Of Speech Doesn’t Allow Anyone To Speak Socially Unacceptable Things Says Boney Kapoor

Noted Boney Kapoor, a Bollywood producer, asserted that the right to free expression does not include the right to make socially unacceptable remarks. In response to a question on Ranveer Allahbadia’s recent offensive comments, the seasoned producer stated, “I don’t support what he did at all. There must be restrictions. Additionally, self-censorship is necessary. Kapoor went on to clarify that having the right to free speech does not grant you the ability to speak things that are not acceptable in society.

“Within your home, you talk whatever you want to talk but on social platforms, you need to be careful and you need to be disciplined,” added the Bollywood producer.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi received a courtesy call from Kapoor and his star son Arjun Kapoor on Wednesday at his chamber in the state Assembly. The Chief Minister was asked to serve as the chief guest at the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL)-2025. The Bengal Tigers squad has chosen Barabati Stadium in Cuttack as its home field for season, and a few CCL games are planned to be played there. According to Kapoor, Odisha boasts a wealth of natural beauty and sufficient filmmaking equipment. Additionally, he said that if all of this is well advertised, Odisha would become the go-to place for filmmakers to shoot their films, which will help the state’s tourist industry.

Due to his comments on comedian Samay Raina’s show “India’s Got Latent,” YouTuber-podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, better known by his stage as BeerBiceps, has caused indignation and legal issues. Gen-Zers are familiar with Raina’s program because of its dark humor. But Allahbadia’s obscene remarks startled the crowd as well as the other judges in attendance. In a recent episode that included content producers Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija (also known as The Rebel Kid), Allahbadia asked a contestant a very contentious question that drew condemnation from several political parties and organizations.
