A third-year B.Tech student of KIIT University took his own life by allegedly jumping from a seven-storied under-construction building Mancheswar area police limits of the city on Monday night. According to reports, the deceased student has been identified as Arnav Mukherjee from Bankura district in West Bengal. Arnav was residing in the university’s hostel. The identity of the 20-year-old student was confirmed on Tuesday morning following police investigations.
Mancheswar Police have registered a case of unnatural death, and the body was sent to Capital Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Preliminary reports suggest Mukherjee allegedly leapt from the building late Monday, though the circumstances leading to his decision remain unclear.
