Raurkela, Odisha: At the State Business Leadership Awards during Resurgent Rourkela 2025, industrialist Mr. Rajesh Gadodia, Founder and Chairman of Scan Group of Industries, was honoured with the prestigious title of ‘Steel Tycoon of the Year.’ The recognition celebrated his remarkable three-decade journey in Odisha’s steel industry and his role in transforming Scan Steels Limited from a modest rolling mill into one of the state’s most respected integrated steel enterprises.
Under his visionary leadership, Scan Steels pioneered several milestones—from setting up smaller-capacity DRI units in 1999 to introducing globally acclaimed Tempcore Technology from Belgium, and building household brands such as Shrishtii TMT and Shrishtii Roofing. Today, the company stands as Odisha’s largest secondary steel producer and a symbol of resilience, innovation, and trust.
Mr. Gadodia received the award from Mr. Arun Kumar Sahu, Ambassador of India to Bulgaria, in the esteemed presence of Shri Rabinarayan Behera, Hon’ble MP of Jajpur; Prof. Karanam Umamaheshwar Rao, Director of NIT Rourkela; Mr. Nimish Gadodia, Chairman of Nav Durga Group; Mr. Vivek Srivastava, Managing Director of Talcher Fertilizers Limited; and Dr. Subhasish Das, Chairman of Interview Times.
The honor reaffirmed Mr. Gadodia’s standing not only as a pioneering industrialist but also as a leader deeply committed to community development, sustainability, and employment generation in Odisha—cementing his reputation as a true Rourkela success story.
