Exclusive Interview with Lopamudra Pradhan

Q1. You began your journey as a makeup artist. What inspired you to evolve into a multi-business entrepreneur?

Answer: I have always believed that creativity must be enhanced by strategy. Makeup introduced me to the world of beauty, but entrepreneurship gave me the opportunity to build something that could truly impact people’s lives. Over time, I realised customers don’t just want good makeup, they want a complete, memorable experience. This inspired me to expand into salons, bridal studios, and hospitality, where I could curate holistic experiences under one ecosystem.

Q2. You manage outlets under Page3 Salon & Spa and Naturals Salon & Spa. What makes your work culture stand out?

Answer: My work culture rests on discipline, empathy, and empowerment. I believe a successful salon is built not only on ambience or branding, but on the confidence and skill of its team.

At Page3 and Naturals, I focus heavily on continuous training, motivation, and transparent communication. When employees feel valued and supported, they naturally deliver excellence to customers. This people-first approach is the backbone of my business.

Q3. How has your association with the Naturals Salon & Spa franchise shaped your entrepreneurial journey?

Answer: Naturals has been a game-changer. Their structured systems, strong brand identity, and commitment to customer satisfaction aligned perfectly with my own values. Being part of the franchise enabled me to scale quickly while maintaining high quality and to improve the standards of beauty services in Odisha.

Q4. What role does creativity play in your leadership style?

Answer: Creativity is at the heart of everything I do. From designing a salon interior, curating a bridal look, or conceptualising a café, I always begin with imagination. My leadership style blends creativity with logic. I dream with intention and execute with precision. This balance keeps my ventures fresh, modern, and experience-driven.

Q5. In your journey, what has been your biggest challenge as a woman entrepreneur and how did you overcome it?

Answer: Balancing multiple responsibilities while staying committed to long-term goals has been one of my biggest challenges. Women often juggle many roles, both personal and professional. I overcame this by building strong teams, learning to work effectively with strategy, and trusting the people who work with me. Most importantly, I stopped doubting myself and embraced my role as a leader with confidence.

Q6. Your salons are known for bridal, groom, and fashion makeup. What keeps your artistry ahead of trends?

Answer: Learning is a lifelong commitment for me. The beauty industry evolves rapidly, so I continuously update myself and my team with new techniques. I attend national workshops, follow global artists, and experiment with fresh styles. My aim is not only to follow trends, but to create trends that set Odisha apart on the beauty map.

Q7. What advice would you give to young women looking to start their entrepreneurial journey?

Answer: Start with confidence, not perfection. Don’t wait for the “right moment” rather create it. Build your skills, stay disciplined, trust your instincts, and surround yourself with people who uplift you. Most importantly, don’t fear failure. Every setback teaches you something that success never will.

Q8. What is your long-term vision for your businesses?

Answer: My dream is to expand into more cities and create more employment opportunities, especially for women. I also want to establish training academies for beauty and hospitality to support young talent. My aim is to make brands famous for innovation, trust, and heartfelt service. Ultimately, my mission is to empower others while growing as a leader and creator.
