The Health and Family Welfare Department of the Odisha government said on Tuesday that contract lecturers, readers, and professors employed by the state’s government Ayurvedic and homoeopathic medical colleges would have their remuneration revised and increased.
Contractual lecturers’ monthly compensation has been set at Rs 70,000 in accordance with the updated ruling. Additionally, there has been a significant increase in the pay of professors and readers. Professors’ monthly compensation has increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh, while readers’ compensation has increased from Rs 40,000 to Rs 80,000.
The Finance Department has approved the proposal. Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling thanked Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and stated that the move is anticipated to improve AYUSH education in the state and further inspire educators.
