The Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Kalinga successfully organized the prestigious Rotary Kalinga Samman 2026 Award Ceremony on 21st May 2026 at the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Odissi Research Centre, bringing together distinguished personalities from across Odisha to celebrate excellence in social service, art and culture, and healthcare.
The event commenced at 6:30 PM in the gracious presence of Rtn. Manoj Kumar Tripathy, District Governor (2025–26), Rotary International District 3262, as the Chief Guest, and Sri Anil Kumar Samal, IAS (Retd.), District Governor (2026–27), as the Guest of Honour.
The coveted Rotary Kalinga Samman 2026 was conferred upon three eminent personalities of Odisha in recognition of their exceptional contributions to society:
• Sri Padmacharan Nayak – for outstanding service in the field of Social Service
• Dr. Akshaya Kumar Mishra – for distinguished contribution to Healthcare
• Sri Pradeepta Kumar Nayak – for remarkable achievements in Art & Culture
The ceremony featured a captivating Odissi dance performance by children from the Adruta Children Home, followed by addresses by dignitaries, the grand felicitation ceremony, and a musical evening. The event concluded with a fellowship dinner attended by Rotarians, guests, and invitees.
Speaking on the occasion, Rtn. Manoj Kumar Tripathy lauded the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Kalinga for instituting an award that recognizes individuals whose work has had a transformative impact on society. He emphasized that such initiatives reflect Rotary’s enduring commitment to service above self and to celebrating those who inspire positive change.
Rtn. Dr. Manoranjan Puthal, President of the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Kalinga, stated that the Kalinga Samman is intended to honour individuals whose dedication and achievements have significantly enriched society and inspired future generations. He reaffirmed the club’s commitment to recognizing excellence and promoting service, culture, and human values.
The event was coordinated under the leadership of Rtn. Dr. Manoranjan Puthal, President; Rtn. Dr. Adarsh Rath, Secretary; and Rtn. Radhamohan Pattanaik, Event Chairman, Kalinga Samman 2026.
