On Sunday, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited two significant industrial facilities in the Khordha district and emphasized the state government’s commitment to promoting industrialization and providing job opportunities for young people in the area. The Chief Minister inspected Anadrone Systems, a defense and drone technology firm in Mundaamba, after visiting the clothing manufacturing plant of Epic Group’s Trimetro Garments India Pvt Ltd in Kalibati. He reviewed operations at both facilities and engaged with staff.
During his visit to Trimetro Garments, Majhi interacted with workers and enquired about their working conditions, skill development, and workplace environment. Employees shared their experiences and expressed satisfaction over local job opportunities, stating that they no longer need to migrate to other states for employment. The Chief Minister said the government is committed to promoting industrial growth, expanding employment opportunities, and ensuring that Odisha’s youth get quality jobs within the state. He also emphasised the need to strengthen skill development initiatives and encourage industries to prioritise local hiring.
Majhi instructed industry players to concentrate on creating worker-supporting infrastructure, such as improved amenities in industrial locations. Additionally, he emphasized how crucial it is to provide secure and comfortable working environments, especially for female employees.
He said that in order to guarantee safe and environmentally responsible daily traveling in industrial zones, the government is building new dormitories for workers as well as enhanced transportation options, such as electric bus services. According to the chief minister, a number of new industrial facilities will be built in the area in the upcoming years, which will increase job creation and support economic expansion. He also mentioned the possibility for auxiliary businesses to grow in the vicinity of significant industrial centers.
It may be noted that Trimetro Garments, a unit of global apparel manufacturer EPIC Group, has commenced production in India for the first time. The project was launched after the foundation stone was laid on April 3, 2025, and became operational in a short span of time.
