At a high-level meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan on Monday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi received the report of a committee that was established to look into the requests and issues of basic, upper primary, high school, and higher secondary school teachers in Odisha. The Chief Minister stated that the government would review the suggestions and make the necessary choices.
On the Chief Minister’s order, the committee was established on December 6, 2025, and it was reorganized on February 3, 2026. In order to investigate their requests, it recently convened 90 sessions with 104 associations that represented various teacher types. According to the official statement, it sent the government 79 reports. At the meeting on Monday, the Chief Minister heard the committee’s recommendations from Chairman Ashok Tripathy and Co-Chairman Sudarshan Nayak.
The meeting was attended by School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Principal Secretary of the Finance Department, and secretaries of the Higher Education and School & Mass Education departments. Shantanu Kumar Sahu, Manoranjan Mishra, and coordinating member Sanatan Panda were among the other committee members in attendance.
