Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched an integrated Odisha State Scholarship portal which will assist the students to avail scholarship privileges.
The fundamental aspect of this online portal is to make sure that the students who want to avail the scholarship programmes will be given smooth and transparent advantages. There won’t be any sort of miscommunication and shortcomings for the interested students, and without any doubts, students can avail the scholarship benefits. Around more than 11 Lakh beneficiaries will be helped from this online portal for the students.

For an automatic payment system, the online portal is associated with the State Treasury Portal IFMC into the bank accounts of beneficiaries. The portal has been expanded to confer incentive to inter-caste married couples under Odisha Right to Public Services Act, 2012. The main aim of this online portal is to have adequate management, automation, and streamlining of scholarship program 21 scholarships schemes of six central depts, which have been brought under one.

The qualified beneficiaries will be getting their benefits within 60 days of application submission after the approval. Aadhaar based registration and integration with the online platforms and database has been done to depreciate duplication and assure the leakage-free disbursal of scholarship.

CM Patnaik also started SUMANGAL portal, which is formed by ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department. This portal will yield incentive to the inter-caste married couples under Odisha Right to Public Services Act, 2012.
Applicants need to apply through sumangal.odisha.gov.in.
