The Ministry of Health of the Government of India has reacted to the discovery of a new strain of the Covid in the UK. The ministry on Monday convened an emergency joint monitoring group (JMG) meeting to discuss the virus. The meeting is chaired by the Director-General of Health Services (DGHS) and may be attended by representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO).
The new strain of the corona virus is said to be rapidly spreading in the UK. Many countries have suspended flights to the UK after the government warned that infections in the country were uncontrollable. The United Kingdom on Sunday issued a strong lockdown in the country.
A new strain of the corona virus was first identified in the UK. It has spread to southern and eastern Britain. While Kent is currently under discussion in the country for the infection, many countries have suspended flights to the UK. Scotland immediately canceled flights to the UK as soon as a new type of virus was discovered.
Countries such as Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium have now suspended flights to the UK. While Austria and Italy are considering banning flights from the UK, Italy has reportedly taken steps to protect its citizens.
