Actor Sandeep Nahar was found dead at his Mumbai residence after posting a video and a suicide note on Facebook and the police are investigating whether it was a case of suicide. He featured in movies like Akshay Kumar’s “Kesari” and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer “MS Dhoni.
As per police official, Nahar was found unconscious at his flat in suburban Goregaon by his wife. Later his friends took him to SVR Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. He had also posted a suicide note on Facebook with a nine-minute video. The video was made around three hours before his death as per police.
In the Facebook video, he stated that he was “frustrated” with constant fights with his wife and was being harassed and blackmailed by her and also by his mother-in-law. He was planning to die by suicide for a long time but chose to give himself the time and hoped that things will get better but they didn’t.
He further said in the video that he has one request after he is gone that no one should say anything to Kanchan (his wife). In the “suicide note”, purportedly written by Nahar, he mentioned about “politics” he faced in Bollywood, “unprofessional functioning and the lack of emotions in people working in the industry”.
The police are awaiting a postmortem report to understand the cause of Nahar’s death and how he died. Further investigation will be done by the police after they find more details regarding the case.
