Actress Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde is satisfied with the Bombay High Court decision of continuing to probe the complaint filed against late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka Singh.
But the court repealed the complaint registered by Mumbai Police against Sushant’s other sister Meetu Singh. As per India, Today’s report Satish Maneshinde stated in a statement issued to the media that the petition filed by Priyanka Singh seeking quashing of FIR filed by Rhea Chakraborty for offenses of forgery and violating NDPS Act by getting a bogus prescription for illegally administered medicines to SSR dismissed by Justice Shinde and Justice Karnik, Bombay High Court. We are satisfied with the verdict.
It further stated that they are satisfied with the verdict and that ultimately Rhea Chakraborty’s cry for justice and truth has prevailed –‘Satya Meva Jayate’.
On the Priyanka Singh case, the court has stated that the probe would be continued and the First Information Report (FIR) naming Priyanka and Dr. Tarun Kumar as implicated continues to exist. In September 2020 FIR was lodged against both Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters based on the complaint by Rhea Chakraborty.
