To ensure the complete vaccination of people belonging to Tibetan communities who are residing in Odisha, the state government has directed the authorities to fasten the work process.
According to the reports, the State Health and Family Welfare department has asked the Collectors in all districts and the Commissioners of Municipal Corporations, CDMs and PHOs to take appropriate action in this regard. Even the MoHFW has approved the Covid vaccination of Tibetans and it has been noticed by the Ministry that many persons of the community have received their first dose, however, the 2nd dose vaccination has not been provided to them, Health Department noted in its letter.
The report further added that the government has directed the officials to monitor the vaccination of Tibetan communities and ensure second dose vaccination by following the guidelines.
