The mercury plummeted below 15 degree Celsius in at least 8 places Odisha on November 7 as informed by the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar.
According to the reports, Odisha Likely To Witness Another Low Pressure By Nov 9, Light-Moderate Rains Next Week. The minimum temperature was recorded at 10.0 degree Celsius at tourist destination Daringbadi in Kandhamal district.
Daringbadi was followed by Phulbani, the headquarter town of Kandhamal district, where the mercury dropped to 11.5 degree C. Other places which recorded temperature below 15 degrees are- Koraput (12.0), Keonjhar (13.5), Bhawanipatna (14.2), Jharsuguda (14.2), Titlagarh (14.8) and Sonepur (14.8), added the weather bureau.
The places that recorded 20 degree Celsius or below are– Malkangiri (15.5), Angul (16), Hirakud (16.2), Nayagarh (16.5), Sambalpur (16.7), Chandbali (16.8), Baripada (16.8), Talcher (17), Balasore (17.6), Sundargarh (18.5), Paradip (19.2), Gopalpur (19.6) and Puri (20).Similarly, the temperature dipped to 17.4 degree Celsius in Bhubaneswar while in neighbouring Cuttack it came down lowest to 17 degree.
